FIGURATIVE WORK
In my latest series of work I have explored the theme of winter, not only winter in nature but also “the winter of the soul”. We often avoid this part of our journey, but there is a beauty and solace of embracing the bleak season - a stark honesty that bring us back to ourselves.
The simplicity of graphite drawing on gesso, combined with collage and acrylic paint, has given me a vocabulary that reflects the textures of winter.
